Joe Knapp

Joe Frank Knapp, 84, of Kerrville, Texas, formerly of Big Spring, Texas entered into rest May 24, 2005 at a local hospital. Mr. Knapp was born July 12, 1920 to Otis and Nora Knapp in Claypool, West Virginia. He married Ethel Corcoran on June 26, 1942 in Washington DC. He served his country in the US Navy from Feb. 1943 to Nov 1945. He had been a resident of Big Spring since 1947 and moved to Kerrville in 2000. He retired a civil service employee working at Webb Air Force Base. He was also a skilled carpenter and enjoyed horse back riding.He is preceded in death by his parents sister, Carolyn Morris and great grandson, Alexander Badura.He is survived by his loving wife, Ethel Corcoran son, John Knapp and wife Melody of San Antonio grandchildren, Michelle and Tim Badura, Denise Knapp, and Robert Badura sister, Mary Fachko and husband Charles of Buffalo, NY and brother, Forrest and wife Erma Knapp of Cedar Grove, WV and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00PM, Friday, May 27, 2005 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Ligon officiating. Private interment will be in Mount Olive Cemetery in Big Spring, Texas. ation will be 56:00PM, Thursday, May 26, 2005 at Kerrville Funeral Home.Memorials may be made to the Dietert Senior Center, 617 Jefferson, Kerrville, TX 78028.
