San Antonio ndash Joe Cooper, 75, of Ingram, passed from this life at a local hospital on Tuesday, October 28, 2008.nbspBorn in Waco, TX on September 27, 1933, he was the son of Otis E. and Myrtle Florence Richardson Cooper.nbsp He had been a resident of Ingram since 1980.nbspMr. Cooper served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.nbsp He was a police officer for the Houston Police Department for many years. He also worked for Pct 4 of Ingram.nbspHe was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Masonic Lodge of Center Point.nbspMr. Cooper was predeceased by his parents, his wife of 13 years, Dorothy Mae Manzer Cooper, a daughter, Rhonda Helen Cooper and a brother, George Lynn Cooper.nbspFamily members include first wife, Margaret Helen Cooper his sons, Joe Paul Cooper of Laguna Park, TX, Gary Cooper of Waco, TX and Roy Cooper of Laguna Park, TX a daughter, Michelle Cooper of Panama City, FL, 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren his wife Carolyn Cooper and her children and nieces and nephews.nbspGraveside services will be held at Center Point Cemetery on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 1:00PM with the Center Point Masonic Lodge conducting the services.nbspIn lieu of floral arrangements, monetary donations may be made to the VFW the First Presbyterian Church or the Center Point Masonic Lodge.nbspnbsp
