Jocelyn Louise Granny Williams, 91, of Kerrville, Texas passed away peacefully in the arms of the Lord on October 22, 2006 at a local hospital.Granny was born August 16, 1915 in Dallas, Texas to Benjamin and Bessie Novish Lyons. She married Carl Williams, Sr. on August 29, 1944 in San Antonio. She retired from Ray Ellison Industries in San Antonio where she worked for 45 years as an Escrow Officer. In Kerrville, she enjoyed volunteering and working for Dietert Claims Yesterday Today Shop, and at the Notre Dame Cafeteria. She was Jewish in faith, and stayed very active with her faith carrying her prayer book with her at all times. She was always there for advice and offered many pearls of wisdom to others. Granny never met a stranger, was strong willed, helpful, and strict yet gentle. She was loving toward animals and took in stray pets to care for them. She stayed sharp and witty and was very intelligent and independent even at the age of 91. She was a people person, who had many friends and acquaintances who will all miss her dearly. She was a wonderful grandmother who took her grandchildren on lots of outings they loved to shop with her. She was always there for her family and they will cherish her memory and pearls of wisdom forever.She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Williams, Sr. son, Carl Williams, Jr and brother, Russell Lyons.She is survived by her daughterinlaw, JoAnne WilliamsWilson and husband John of Kerrville three grandchildren, Kelly Lena and husband Danny of Center Point, Carl Bubba Williams and wife Margo of Center Point, and Dana Butler and husband Ryon of Boerne six greatgrandchildren, Summer Williams, Tommy Hill, John Robert Hill, Ryana Butler, Kaid Butler, and Kale Williams five stepgrandchildren, Jennifer Hill, Kathy Dawson, Holly Ann Hill, Tara McDaniel and James Lena.Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 29, 2006 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with Ryon Butler officiating.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Peterson Hospice.
