JoAnne Mae Silman, 76 of Kerrville, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2024, at her residence surrounded by family. She was born on December 28, 1947, in Monterey, California; to loving parents, Steve and Vinice Erwin.
JoAnne married her husband, John B. Silman in June of 1987 in Baltimore, Maryland; where she was the nursing director of the nursery at Maryland General Hospital. She attained her R.N. nursing degree in Baltimore and a Master’s Degree in Business at John Hopkins University. She moved to Texas with her husband and subsequently was office manager of her husbands’ medical practice in Kerrville, Texas.
JoAnne loved to read and spend time with her animals. She was a kind and generous person. She particularly enjoyed keeping fit and enjoyed exercising at the Center for Fitness and walking with her neighbors each morning.
She is survived by her husband, John B. Silman; son, Donald Campbell Jr.; daughter-in-law, Jaime Campbell; granddaughter, Gracie Campbell; brother, Steve Erwin; brother, Walter Erwin and wife, Noreen of Monterey, California; and brother-in-law, Eddy Silman and wife, Cynthia.
The family wishes to extend thanks to Dr. Rebecca Barrington, Dr. Kathy Wilson and Dr. James Young; as well as the nurses with Peterson Hospice.
There will be a private remembrance for friends and family at a later date.
