Kerrville JoAnn Pollard Hale 76, beloved mother, sister, grandmother and friend, lost her courageous battle with cancer with family at her side on February 18, 2012.

JoAnn was born in Milsap, TX on April 1, 1935, the daughter of the late Jimmy Reese and Melba Wharton Pollard. She was raised in Texas and attended Galena Park High School, where she met many lifelong friends, many of which she knew since elementary school.

JoAnn enjoyed her life of care giving immensely, as it brought joy, love and hope into the lives of many people.

She lived and worked in the New Haven County area of Connecticut, retiring to Kerrville in 1997.

Her greatest joy was being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She took great pleasure in socializing with family and friends.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her sons and daughtersinlaw, Dr. Carter Hale and his wife, Dr. Susan ZlotnickHale of Concord, NH, Paul Hale and his wife, Donna Trippconey Hale of Bandera, TX her grandsons, Paul Jr, Jason and David great grandchildren, Madelyn Rose, Carson, Charles and Peyton and many other children she gave her loving care. She is also survived by her loving sister, Mary Katherine Knapik and brotherinlaw Rex, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is proceeded in death by her beloved grandson Nicholas Hale.

We are all blessed for having time spent with her who was as beautiful on the inside as out. Gods Kingdom is a much richer place after receiving her.

A celebration of her life will be held in Milsap, TX on April 1, 2012.

The family suggests that donations in her name be made to help children struggling with cancer or the Hill Country Youth Ranch, a child care facility for abused and abandoned children, PO Box 67, Ingram, TX 78025 803.367.2131 www.youthranch.org.
