Jimmy Allen

KERRVILLE Jimmy JD Dee Allen, 69, of Medina, TX passed from this life at a local hospital on Sunday, March 31, 2013. Born on April 15, 1943 in Houston, TX, he was the son of Troy D. and Genastell Powell Allen.

JD was an accomplished singer and guitarist who loved his music, a Master Builder and Construction visionary, an 18 wheel driver, and a substitute teacher. His passion and what made him who he was, was the 25 years he spent in Law Enforcement.

He married the love of his life, Dorothy Jo Theriot in Hempstead, TX on July 17, 1994. JD was also a Master Mason with membership in the Wells Lodge 915.

Preceding him death are his parents.

Those left to cherish and honor his memory are his wife, Dorothy Jo Allen his daughter, Tammy Jo Allen one brother, David Lee Allen
5 grandchildren along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors who will dearly miss him.

Funeral Services will be held in the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, TX 78028 on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 1 PM. Open visitation will be from 8 AM until 1 PM. Masonic Rites will be offered by the Medina Masonic Lodge 1319, A.F. A.M. He will be laid to rest at Oak Rest Cemetery, Medina, TX.
