Jessie Jaeger

Jessie Cleo Stevens Jaeger was born on September 30, 1936 in Colorado City, Texas and left her earthly home in Kerrville, Texas on March 8, 2013 at the age of 76. She spent her last days with her husband, children, and extended family and dear friends keeping vigil by her side.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Alfred Stevens and Glendora Groh two sisters, Martha Stevens and Minnie Stevens Mahan and brother, Robert Stevens.

Jessie is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Kenneth A. Jaeger four children, Cynthia Jaeger Whelan and husband Charles, P. Wayne Jaeger, Sr. and wife Kathy, Bruce E. Jaeger, Sr. and wife Marie, and James A. Jaeger and wife Jennifer all of Kerrville Jessie and Ken have nine grandchildren, Kevin Whelan, Leslie Whelan White, Phillip Jaeger, Jr., Dawna Jaeger Armke, Bruce Jaeger Jr., Brian Jaeger, Brenna Jaeger, Braden Jaeger, and Brooke Jaeger. They have been blessed with nine greatgrandchildren, Gavin and Juliana Whelan, Scott, Samantha, and Sydney Jaeger, Kaydance and Rangler Armke, and Wyatt and Carli Jaeger.

Jessie and Ken were married in Carlsbad, NM on June 19, 1954, moved to Las Vegas in 1958, and to Kerrville in 1969. They enjoyed dancing and a quiet simple life focused on their love for each other, their family, and their faith. Jessie was a member Notre Dame Catholic Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed a twentythree year banking career after raising her family. Jessies kind and gentle spirit will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but their consolation is knowing that her soul now rejoices with the Holy Trinity in the Heavenly Kingdom.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Monsignor Mike Boulette as celebrant. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. A prayer vigil with visitation to follow will be 7:00 PM, Monday, March 11, 2013 at Kerrville Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks Jessies loved ones to consider a donation in her memory to Odyssey Hospice, Kerrville, Texas.
