Kerrville Jesse Ayala Lara, 46, of Kerrville passed from this life on December 3, 2002 at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Lara was born in Kerrville, Texas to Cecilio and Rachel Ayala Lara on February 16, 1956.Jesse, or Hot Dog as he was better known in the community, lived in Kerrville his entire life. He was an aide in the nursing profession, working at the Kerrville State Hospital and at Hilltop Village for many years. He had a profound love for sports, and played several different sports while at Tivy High School before graduation in 1977. He was also a sports trainer during those years. He was fun, loving, and enjoyable to be around. His favorite pastime was playing cards with his friends.Mr. Lara is survived by his wife, Pilar Lara daughters, Kathy, Becky, and Jackie Lara all of Kerrville, Texas, and Joann Arredondo of Colorado sons, Jesse Lara, Jr of Kerrville, Texas. and Rene Lira of New Mexico parents, Cecilio E. and Rachel Lara of Kerrville, Texas brothers, Cecilio Lara, Jr., Vincent Lara, and Dan Lara all of Kerrville, Texas sister, Sylvia Ybarra of San Antonio, Texas eight grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of many loving friends and relatives.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Lara to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.Services will be held at 10:00 AM at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, December 7, 2002. ation will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home, Friday, December 6, 2002 from 6:00 8:00 PM. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery with the Rev. Matias Rodriguez, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating.Arrangements are under the direction of Kerrville Funeral Home.
