San AntonioLongtime Kerrville resident, Jesse LeRoy Hancock, age 82, passed away Monday, October 24, 2005 at a hospital in San Antonio.nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspBorn in Miles, Texas to Nola and Jess Hancock, he moved to Kerrville to attend and graduate from the Schreiner Institute and Schreiner College. He served in the U.S. Navy Seabees during World War II, and retired after many years as a faithful employee of the V. A. Hospital in Kerrville.Jesse married Marie Jelley Hancock on May 27, 1943, a union that lasted until her death in 1989.He is survived by his daughters and soninlaws, JoAnn and David Fry and Lyndia and William Rector of Kerrville, Texas his grandchildren, Chris, Shawn, Clint, Nancy, and Jeffrey, as well as several greatgrandchildren. ation will be held from 8:0011:00 a.m. at Kerrville Funeral Home on Thursday, October 27, 2005.
