KERRVILLE Mr. Jess A. Wilmott, 79, of Kerrville, TX, passed from this life, at his residence on Saturday, July 7, 2012. Jess was born on May 14, 1933 to Homer and Flora Wilmott in Lyme, NH.

During the Korean Conflict, from 19531955, Jess served stateside, in the US Army. On July 25, 1958, Jess married the love of his life, Vera Howe in Lebanon NH. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator. Later he became a proprietor of a Shell Gas Station for 10 years. Before retiring, he was employed as Transportation Director for KISD for 22 years.
Jess was a member of the Turtle Creek Community Church, and his favorite pasttime was spending time with his grandchildren.

Jess was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Flora Wilmott son, Bradley Allen Wilmott also preceding him in the death were 7 brothers and 1 sister.

He is survived by his wife, Vera Wilmott twin daughters, Diana Pearson and husband Jim of Kerrville, and Debby Carpenter and husband Jimmy of Mountain Home 9 grandchildren, James Carpenter and wife Amber of Odessa, TX, Jonathan Carpenter and wife Michelle of Belleview, NB, serving the US Air Force, Joseph, Jessica, Jennifer and Jeffrey Carpenter of Mountain Home, TX, Monica Pearson of Kerrville, TX, Vanessa Cox and husband Duston of Harper, TX, Grant Pearson of Kerrville, TX 6 greatgrandchildren brotherinlaw, Orin Howe sisterinlaws, Vi Wilmott and Bernice Bouchier brother, Chester Wilmott and wife Peg sisters, Nina Hardgrave and husband Allan, Mildred Hanson and husband Jack, and Florene Parker numerous nephews and nieces.

Jess was a loving husband, father, grandfather and greatgrandfather. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of his life will be held at 3 PM on Friday, July 13, 2012 at the Turtle Creek Community Church, 130 Molena Drive, Kerrville, TX.

In lieu of floral tributes, it has been requested that contributions to be made to Turtle Creek Community Church.
