Kerrville Jerry Clifford Ince, 71, of Kerrville, TX passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at his residence in Kerrville, TX. Born on December 31, 1936 in Lubbock, TX, he was the son of Earl W. and Lucy Judd Ince.Jerry was born at home at the family residence on 17th Street and raised in Lubbock, TX where he graduated from Lubbock High School as a member of the Class of 1955. He met the love of his life, Delores Ward, and married her in Lubbock on June 3, 1956. Together, they raised their sons that they would be so very proud of, and lived in many years of love and happiness together.He was a licensed Real Estate Agent, who eventually taught Real Estate classes at Texas Tech University. He worked in many different areas of investments and finance throughout his life. He was well known as a fixture of WestStar Investment Reality, and Surety Investments groups. He spent a number of years in the family business, Ince Oil Company, and eventually became known for his own Real Estate and Commercial investments. Jerry was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Lubbock, where he later became a Scottish Rite Mason as well as being a member of the American Business Club. Jerry was also a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.Although Jerry and the family had lived in Kerrville in the 50s and again in the 70s, he made his way back to the Hill Country in 1998. Together with his sons, they formed Ince Builders, Inc. He enjoyed becoming involved in the community and being a leader in the home and commercial construction business.Jerry touched many lives throughout the years, and no matter where he landed in his travels, he never met a stranger.Preceding him in death were his parents his loving wife of 49 years, Delores Ince brothers, Earl Ince, Jr. and David Ince and a sister, Justine Kerr.Surviving Jerry are his two sons, Mark and wife Larissa Ince of Mountain Home, TX along with their children Koree, Chance, Chandlin, China, Lucy, and Kadee and husband Chris of Kerrville, TX Scot and wife Misty Ince along with their children, Jaron, Morgan, and Harley and son Brandon and wife Kristin of Schulenburg, TX greatgranddaughter, Kenlee and greatgrandson, Layne brothers, Gerald and wife Sharon Ince of Lewisville, TX and Carl Ince of Marble Falls, TX sisters, Judie Ince and Sue Bisher, Betty Clawson, Jewell Smith all of Marble Falls, TX, and LaJuanah and husband Jody Taylor of Hobbs, NM also surviving him are numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors. A visitation will be held in the Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home starting at 12 PM, Thursday, March 13, 2008 followed with funeral services at 2 PM officiated by Rev. Frankie Enloe. On Saturday, March 15, 2008, a visitation will be held at Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 7702 Indiana Ave., Lubbock, TX 79423, starting at 9 AM, with funeral services at 11 AM, officiated by Rev. Sam Estes. Interment will follow at Lubbock City Cemetery.In lieu of floral arrangements, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Jerry to the following: Lone Star Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation, 17414 Fairgrove Park Drive, Houston, TX 77095. All donations will go ly into programs and services for the bleeding disorder community of South Texas.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home, 830 8955111.
