nbspJerrilyn Dunwoody Beiter, Jeri to all, 68, passed away peacefully on the night of September 12th. She was born July 13, 1940 in Danville, Illinois, and their family moved to Lincoln, Nebraska when she was 10. The family moved one last time to Arvada, Colorado, where she graduated from Arvada High School in 1957. nbspFollowing high school, Jeri attended the Mercy School of Nursing in Denver with the desire to become a flight nurse. These plans were altered when she married Glenn Beiter in 1960 and they moved to Louviers, Colorado. Jeri worked at the Rocky Mountain Hospital as a dietician until the birth of their first child, Cindy. The adoption of their second child, Scott, completed the family.nbspIn Louviers, Jeri joined the volunteer fire department and became one of the first female firefighters in Colorado. Following study with the Colorado Department of Health, she became one of the first EMTrsquos in Colorado and served with the fire department rescue squad for over 20 years.nbspJeri was hired by the US Postal service as a clerk in 1976 and was promoted to Postmaster of Louviers in 1980 and later promoted to Postmaster of Sedalia, Colorado, in 1990, where she retired in 1993.nbspFollowing retirement, Jeri and Glenn moved to the mountains in Northern New Mexico, where they developed and operated Danger Rock Ranch. Ranch life agreed with them until they were forced to lower altitudes because of health. They moved to Kerrville, where Glenn will continue to live.nbspJeri is survived by her husband Glenn two children, Cindy and Scott and five grandchildren.
