Jeff Vining

Jeff L. Vining, born September 17, 1916, died Thursday, March 20, 2003. A native Texan, he was a graduate of Schreiner Institute and the University of Texas in Austin. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army. Following his discharge from the military he married Betty Hybarger. After several years in Houston and Beaumont the Vinings moved to the Chicago area and spent over 40 years living in Oak Park and La Grange, Illinois. In 1998 they moved to Kerrville. Jeff loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He was a member of St. Peters Episcopal Church in Kerrville. He was predeceased by his wife Betty. He is survived by his son Jeffery R. Vining of Brooklyn, NY, His sisterinlaw Jimmie Hess of Kerrville and his devoted friend and helper Lydia Giddings.
