Jean Noyd

Kerrville Mrs. Jean Thrasher Noyd, 80, passed away from this life on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at a local hospital. Jean was born on May 2, 1932 to Paul Blaine Thrasher and Loma Jeanette Cunningham in Chicago, IL. After finishing elementary and high school, she attended Bradley University where she was a proud member of Chi Omega, and then went on to graduate from Texas Womans University with Honors.
In Dallas, TX, she met the love of her life Martin A. Noyd, and they were married on March 15, 1952 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. She was employed as a teacher for 5 years in the Richardson Public Schools and for 19 years at the Our Redeemer Lutheran School in Dallas as well. After retiring in 1992, she and Martin moved to Kerrville, TX. She loved swimming, bowling, reading and decorating for holiday and special occasions. But most of all, her family was her greatest passion.
She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Loma Thrasher.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory are: husband, Martin A. Noyd her children, Paul A. Noyd and his wife Linda, Margie Noyd Montez and her husband Mark, and Chrissi Noyd Hathaway and her grandchildren, Matthew Schuyler Sky Noyd and his fiance Megan and Chris Montez.
Memorials may be made in Jeans memory to the Zion Lutheran Church AudioVisual Fund, or the charity of ones choice.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church, 624 Barnett St. Kerrville, TX 78028, on Thursday, March 7, 2013, with the Rev. Don Rauhut officiating.
