Jean Canon

Jean Canon, 88, of Kerrville, Texas died November 19, 2003 at a local hospital.Ms. Canon was born November 1, 1915 in Lewistown, MT to George and Bessie Canon. After WWII M. Beaver, E. Cannon, J. Hayhurst, and G. Witter, formed the Beaver Clinic. Ms. Canon became their first employee. At first she handled exchange on nights and weekends and later became a Medical Secretary. This soon became her life and her coworkers her family. She loved life, animals, good jokes, and her teddy bear collection. Health caused her to move to Texas in January 2001 where she made friends, but her heart remained in California.She is preceded in death by a brother, George Canon, and two sisters, Myrtle Canon and Ruth Brewer.She is survived by her sister Betty Hudspeth of Desert Hot Springs, CA, niece, Sandra Sue Schultz of Kerrville, TX, two great nieces, two great nephews, and her loving cat Charlie.To carry out her wishes there will be no services.Special thanks to Dr. Klaus Schroeder and the Kerrville EMS.Memorials may be made to the Beaver Medical Clinic Foundation of Redland, co James A.
