Javier Mendez

Javier Ceballos Mendez, 47, of Kerrville, TX, passed from this life on May 7, 2014. Javier was born on March 10, 1967 to Jose and Carmen Ceballos Mendez in Rio Verde, San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

Javier was born and raised in Mexico, until the age of 16 when he immigrated to the United States. On June 30, 1985, Javier married Petra Lopez in San Antonio, TX. Together they had two wonderful daughters. He worked very hard his entire life to care for and provide for his wife and daughters. Javier will be greatly missed by all those who loved him.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife Petra Mendez daughters, Kelly DeVore and husband Kevin stationed at MCAS Yuma, AZ, and Joanna Pounds and husband Michael residing in Lubbock, TX parents, Jose and Carmen Mendez siblings Mercedes Cabrera, Rafael Mendez, Erika Rojo, Jaime Eloy Mendez, and Mayra Edith Rubio, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held 6 PM Monday May 12, 2014 at Kerrville Funeral Home, Kerrville, TX. A Time of visitation will be from 78 PM.

Funeral Mass will be held 9:30 AM, Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Norte Dame Catholic Church, Kerrville, TX. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
