Kerrville Jarvis D. quotSpiroquot Hulett, Senior Master Sergant USAF, Retired, 78, of Kerrville, went to be with his Father on Fathers Day, June 20, 2010, at a local hospital.
Born in Gotebo, OK on September 17, 1931 to Emory and Leora Hulett, he was raised in Mountain View, OK until he joined the USAF at the age of 16, and received his GED while serving. His tours of duty included Korea and Vietnam, and after 20 years of service to his country, he retired in 1968.
Spiro went to work for Bell Helicopter in Ft. Worth, then moved to Kerrville and worked for Scott Schreiner Golf Course and in 1986, retired from the Kerrville Telephone Company.
He was an avid golfer and dominos player.
In 1998, he married Dorothy A. Schaefer Elliott in Las Vegas.
He is predeceased by his parents.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Dorothy A. Hulett of Kerrville his children, Janice quotJanquot Taylor, Karen Sullivan and her husband, Terry and Mike Hulett and his wife Deborah, all of Kerrville 2 stepchildren, Terrie Sramek of Ohio and Greg Elliott and his wife, Bonnie, of Montana 5 grandchildren, Deanna, Chad and Shawn Sullivan, Jeremy Taylor and Andrea Jackson his stepgrandchildren, Brandon, Corneliusen and Kylie Sramek and Michelle and Nick Elliott 8 great grandchildren his brother, Sherman Hulett his nephew, Ronnie and his great nephew, Ronnie, Jr.
There will be no visitation.
A celebration of his life will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home, main chapel on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 2:00PM.
The family suggests that donations in his name be made to the Zion Lutheran Church Building Fund or the charity of ones choice.
