Kerrville Janie Amos Reese, 90, passed from this life on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at a local health care center.

Born in Sunflower, MS on June 28, 1920, she was the daughter of Cal and Mamie Johnson Amos. She had lived in Kerrville for many years.

Mrs. Reese worked at the Kerrville State Hospital in the laundry department for many years.

A devout Christian, she was a member of the Barnett Chapel United Methodist Church in Kerrville and for many years was one of the Sunday school teachers.

She was an avid bingo player.

She was predeceased by her parents, and a brother, James A. Amos.

Those left to honor and cheris her memory are her sisters, Mazie Irwin of San Diego, CA and Nella Mae White of Arkansas her niece, Luberda Amos of Kerrville her great nieces, Audrey Amos Davis and Tracey Amos, both of Kerrville and a great nephew, Otis Amos of Kerrville 3 great great nieces, a great great nephew and her sisterinlaw, Sue Amos of Austin, TX and dear friends, Minnie, Elnora and Hunter.

ation will be Wednesday, July 14, 2010, from 10:0010:45AM at the Barnett Chapel United Methodist Church.

Services will follow at 11:00AM at the Barnett Chapel United Methodist Church, Kerrville. Committal service will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Kerrville,

The family suggests that donations in her name be made to the Barnett Chapel United Methodist Church.
