Kerrville Jane Lacy Barnard Terman, 95, passed from this life to be with the Lord Jesus on June 7, 2011, in Kerrville, Texas.
She was born Jan. 24, 1916 in San Saba, TX, to Norton N. and Carrie Peisker Lacy. They lived on a ranch near Millersview in Concho County.
Her grandfather G. W. Lacy was the donor of the Texas Pink Granite from his ranch outside Marble Falls for the building of the state Capitol in Austin in the 1880s. Her maternal grandfather was an immigrant from Prussia.
Jane was a nurse, graduating from Shannon School of Nursing in San Angelo in 19, who spent many years as a school nurse in Concho County, Lakeview ISD in San Angelo and Spring Branch ISD in Houston .
She married O.S. Barney Barnard of Pampa in 19. They lived in a number of places including Midland, San Antonio, Robstown, Eden, San Angelo, Houston, and Lake Sommerville. They had two daughters, Jean and Peggy.
Barney passed away in 1987. Jane married Howard D. Terman of Bloomington, IN, in 1995 and they lived in Sun City Georgetown and Kerrville. Howard passed away in 2010.
Jane was an avid gardener and many were blessed by her gardens. She loved fishing from lakes in Texas to going for the big ones in the Pacific N.W. Her gifts and talents were many. She was a doer and a giver to the very end and an inspiration to many. Her cheerful smile lit up a room. She was a Methodist and Presbyterian over the years. Her last four weeks were an awesome, joyous journey on her way to join her heavenly family. And is surely now dancing in heaven with Jesus and family members.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her daughters Jean Eastes and husband Dan of Kerrville and Peggy Fahrenthold and husband Chris of Houston and grandchildren Holly Eastes Tipton and husband Chad of Austin, Matt Eastes of Houston, Kevin Fahrenthold of Houston, Kasey Fahrenthold Fink and husband Brad and great grandson Barrett Fink of Houston.
There will be a memorial service on June 25 at 2:00 P.M. at Riverside Dining Room at Plaza on the River Retirement Center, on Guadalupe St. and Plaza Dr. in Kerrville, Texas.
Family offers special thanks to all her friends at Plaza on the River and all of her friends everywhere and the wonderful nurses, care givers, and staff who loved and cared for her at the care Center as well as Peterson Hospice, Tri County Home Health Care, and dear Dr. James Young.
