KERRVILLE James Cowboy Eugene Wachter, 70, of Ingram, Texas passed from this life on May 13, 2014 at a local hospital in Kerrville, Texas.
James was born and raised in Ingram, Texas by the late Raymond Lock Wachter and Lillie Mae Switzer.
James was a heavy equipment operator for many years, during this time he helped build Interstate 10 from Houston to San Antonio, Texas. During his free time, James enjoyed fishing and hunting. James was known for his leather work and did many special craftings.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Lillie Mae Wachter son, Lance Emery Wachter brothers, William Nolan Wachter and Robert Raymond Wachter Sr. and stepdaughter Marlayna Smith.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his sister, Sandra Gayle Wachter brother, Speedy Switzer children, Theresa Aimone and husband Jeff of San Antonio, Texas, Richard Wachter of Helotis, Texas, Eugena Broussard of Lafayette, Louisiana, James Wachter Demarest of Lafayette, Louisiana, Tamara and Ruben Lira of San Angelo, Texas, Zackery Wachter of Ingram, Texas stepchildren, Beric Smith and Shay Smith numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and 14 grandchildren, along with his companion, Sherry Hill.
An inurnment with graveside services will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Sunset Cemetery in Mt. Home, Texas.
