James Sowles

James A. Sowles, 59, of Mountain Home, passed away October 10, 2004 in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico. Mr. Sowles was born February 8, 1945 in White Plains, Massachusetts to Walter and Lorraine Sowles. He married Jara Morris on June 27, 1964 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He and his wife were coowners of JJ signs and banners in Mountain Home. He served his country for nine years in the Marine Corps Reserves, and was a past member of the Chamber of Commerce, the NRA, and the Mountain Home Gun Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf. He is preceded in death by his grandparents.He is survived by his wife, Jara Sowles of Mountain Home parents, Walter and Lorraine Sowles of Mountain Home three sons, James Sowles, II of Mountain Home Allen Sowles of Atlanta, GA and Jon Sowles and his wife Amy of San Antonio, TX two sisters, Pat Adair of Harper and Linda Schmidt of Harper two grandchildren, Nicholas Sarabia, and Andrew Sowles an aunt, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and a host of friends.Memorial services will be 6:00PM, Saturday, October 16, 2004 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Couchman officiating.
