James Fountain

James William Fountain, 76, of Kerrville, TX entered into rest on October 27, 2004 at a local hospital.Mr. Fountain was born June 17, 1928 to James and Ruth Fountain in Illinois. He was a police officer and police chief for over 30 years in the San Antonio area including, Hill Country Village, Hollywood Park and Grey Forest. He liked to travel, spent eleven straight years doing so, and visited all 48 contiguous states of the United States. He married Helen Fountain on March 30, 2004 in Kerrville, Texas. He was a volunteer for the Ingram Volunteer Fire Department and has enjoyed working with them since the year 2000. He is preceded in death by his parents wife, Ida Belle Sams Fountain sister, Marguarite Sanstra and two brothers, Romandell Fountain and Leland Fountain.He is survived by his wife Helen Fountain three sons, Jim Fountain, Jr. and wife Pam of Austin, TX Jack Fountain and wife Kelly of Lago Vista, TX and Jeff Fountain of Boerne six grandchildren, Matthew, David, Jessie, Preston, Derek, and Paige and one sister, Charlotte Samble of Beardstown, Illinois. Funeral services will be 11:00AM, Saturday, October 30, 2004 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
