Kerrville James Scott Brady, 53, of Kerrville, Texas passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2005 after a long battle with cancer. He was born on September 9, 1951 in Kerrville, Texas to Joe and Janet Eleanor Brady.James grew up in Kerrville, Texas and attended Tivy High School. He went on to attend Elim Bible Institute in Lima, New York. He was a dedicated Christian who spent many years in the ministry. His career choices were varied over the years he was a photo technician for the Associated Press, owner of Rainbow Painting in Kerrville, Texas, manager of the Christian Bookstore in Kerrville, Texas, and at the Kerrville, Texas HEB store he served in many different capacities.He will be remembered as a dedicated and loving husband, father, brother, son, uncle, and greatuncle. He was always willing to help those in need, many times opening his own home to those in times of trouble or transition. He had strong opinions on life, and loved to share and debate them with anyone who had a willing ear. James loved to tell jokes and usually was the first to laugh at them.James will leave a hole in the lives of all who held him dear. We all will miss you dearly James, and thank you for the love and memories you gave us.James is preceded in death by his father, Joe Brady. Surviving James are his beloved wife, Anne Brady of Kerrville, TX mother, Janet Eleanor Brady of Kerrville, TX children, Christina Anne Smith and husband Tim Smith of Walnut Creek, CA, and Michael Scott Brady of San Antonio, TX siblings, Linda Jo Porter and husband Lee of Hammond, LA, Robert Joseph Brady of San Antonio, TX, and Elizabeth Ann Brady of Kerrville, TX along with many other relatives and a host of loving friends and neighbors.Memorial Services will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at Church of the Hills in Ingram, TX on Highway 27 with Elder Mark Eubank and Rev. Dennis Davis officiating. The register book is available at the Funeral Home for those who wish to sign it.In lieu of floral tributes, please feel free to contribute to the American Cancer Society.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
