James Anderson


James "Jim" Anderson, age 78, formerly of Livingston, TX passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 at his home in Ingram, TX surrounded by his loving family.

Jim was born January 19, 1937 in Houston, TX the son of James and Margaret Anderson. He was a great and loving husband, dad, grandpa and great-grampy. He was a big supporter of youth organizations from various scouting groups to the Hill Country Junior Livestock District and many other organizations in between. Jim was involved in the community as a member of the Hunt Methodist Church and the Mountain Home Volunteer Fire Department. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and had two full rewarding careers. He spent twenty years as an Air Traffic Controller in both Texas and New Mexico and thirty years as a Petroleum Land Man working in many locations around the State of Texas. Jim touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Judy, his children and their spouses, Keith and Melanie Anderson of Ingram, Bruce and Molly Anderson of Livingston, Robin and Dwayne Land of Livingston, as well as his grandchildren, Edward-James Anderson of Albuquerque, Stash Anderson of Livingston, Cody Land of Willis, Miranda Anderson of Albuquerque, Cory Land of Livingston, Max Anderson of Austin, Cassity Land of Livingston, great-grandchildren, Payton and Ashlynn Land of Buda, sister-in-law, Patty Letulle and her husband, Leslie and their children, Ryan and Amy of Topeka, Kansas, and many friends.

Celebration of life services will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Hunt Methodist Church in Hunt, TX. The family will have private interment services.

The family would like to express their thanks to Peterson Hospice and request memorials made in Jim's name to Peterson Hospice, 1121 Broadway, Kerrville, TX 78028.
