Jacqueline D. Norstrom RN, passed away into her Saviors arms on June 8, 2013 Jackie was born on December 22, 1934 in Austin, MN to Lloyd and Margaret Lady.
Jackies childhood and teenage years were spent in Owatonna, MN. Upon high school graduation, she began her career in St. Marys School of Nursing, which was affiliated with St. Marys Hospital Staff of Mayo Clinic Physicians. She achieved her RN degree there in 1956 and planned on satisfying her desire to travel. Unfortunately her 48 year old father died suddenly that year and obligations to her mother and young brother prevented travel plans, she remained in nearby Rochester, as head nurse in the emergency room at St. Marys Hospital. There Jackie worked closely with numerous Mayo Clinic Fellows trainees a loving relationship soon developed with Dr. Craig Norstrom who was in the neurosurgical program. They married in 1958 and upon completion of his training, moved to Corpus Christi, TX. NO MORE COLD WINTERS
Jackie became involved in a wonderful family life, with 4 daughters who are all now professionals. She also traveled the world as had been her desire. For many years she did not neglect community service however and provided many hours of service for St. Johns Methodist Church and missions. Jackie also excelled in quilting and other sewing ventures for charity.
Jackie is survived by her husband, Dr. Craig Norstrom, Four Daughters and their spouses, Sandra and Keith Adamison of Corpus Christi, Pamela and Dan Norstrom of Beorne, Stacy and Bill Harry of Flower Mound, Jennifer and Jeff Moore of Plano and brother Mike and wife Linda lady of Freemont, CA. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Memorial Donations in Jackies Honor may be made to the First United Methodist Church at 321 Thompson Dr. Kerrville, TX 78028 or the charity of ones choice.

Memorial services will be at First United Methodist Church of Kerrville, on Saturday June 29, 2013 at 11AM with the Rev. Ray Altman officiating.
