Jack D. Scott, 78, of Kerrville, Texas, formerly of Midland, Texas entered into rest on August 26, 2006 at a local hospital. Mr. Scott was born September 1, 1927 in Tulia, Texas to Shirley Clayton and Frances Grace Scott. He graduated from Tulia High School, and received his degree from North Texas State on June 2, 1951. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from February 1946 to December 1947. He married Daline Walker on August 8, 1953 in Roswell, New Mexico. In June of 1952 he moved to Midland where he worked for Shell Oil Company until his retirement in 1988. Upon retirement, Jack and Daline moved to Kerrville where they made their home. Jack was a member of the Masonic Lodge A.F. A.M. in Midland. He was a hard working and loving man who will be greatly missed by his many friends and family.He is preceded in death by his parents and a very special aunt, Faye Cobb.He is survived by his wife, Daline Scott son, David Alan Scott and wife Monica of Houston daughter, Diana D. Scott of San Antonio four grandchildren, Amanda Grace Scott, Benjamin D. Scott, Nicole Bishop and husband Carl, and Kenny Blevins brother, William James Scott II and wife Joan of Costa Mesa, California and cousin, Don Davis and wife Darlene of Kerrville and numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. ation will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 15186 Austin, TX 78761.
