Randolph Jack Klipstine, 91, died peacefully in his sleep while watching the Spurs game on January 14, 2005 at the VA Hospital in Kerrville, Texas.Jack was born in Grantsville, West Virginia on July 8, 1913. He was the son of Lewis and Nancy Klipstine.Jack completed 24 years in the United States Air Force. He flew B17 and B52 Bombers during the war. He was a prisoner of war in World War II. Jack was awarded a Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Silver Star, and a Soldiers Medal during his military tenure. He continued his Federal Service career with 13 years of Civil Service as the Arts and Crafts Director at Fort Hood, Texas.Upon retirement, Jack and Tomie enjoyed many years traveling throughout the country. During these travels they helped construct 11 churches in Colorado and Texas. Jack and Tomie have called Kerrville home since September of 1986, after relocating from Lake Buchanan, Texas.Jack was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Gatesville, Texas. He was also a deacon at the Sunrise Baptist Church in Kerrville, Texas.Jack is survived by his wife of 35 years, Tomilene Tomie Klipstine of Kerrville son, Daniel Klipstine and wife Elizabeth of San Antonio granddaughters, Carrie Klipstine, Kimberly Shenk and husband Alvin, and one great granddaughter, Kayla Klipstine all of San Antonio. He was preceded in death by his stepson, Sammy Lillibridge and several nieces and nephews. In Lieu of flowers, memorials in Jacks name may be made to the Sunrise Baptist Church, 1200 Broadway, Kerrville, Texas 78028.Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00PM, Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at the Kerrville Funeral Home with Rev.
