J. Wilson

San Antonio J.W. Wilson, 83, of Kerrville, passed from this life at a local hospital on October 6, 2011.

Born in Spur, TX on June 30, 1928, he was the son of Alvis and Lucille Gragson Wilson. He lived in Kerrville for the past 15 years.

JW worked for ARCO for 30 years as an electrician.

He enjoyed golf, watching basketball, the Spurs, and baseball. His favorite thing was to spend time with his family and playing marbles with his grandchildren.

A man of great faith, he was a member of the Kerrville Church of Christ.

JW is predeceased by his parents, 1 brother and 2 sisters.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife of almost 62 years, Billie L. Hammonds Wilson of Kerrville his 2 sons, Jimmy Wilson and his wife, Sheryl, of Leakey and Benny Max Wilson and his wife, Cathy, of Odessa his grandchildren, Duane, Jamie, Whitney and Max Wilson and Britney Easley: 1 brother, Coy Lee Wilson and his wife, Mary of Wink, TX, a brotherinlaw, Charles Derington and a sisterinlaw, Lera Wilson, and a host of nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation.

Funeral service will be held at the Kerrville Church of Christ, 1900 Loop 534, on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 2PM. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at 1:00PM at Spur Memorial Cemetery, Spur, TX.
