Born in Clermont, FL on March 14, 1938, he was the son of Irvin B. and Vesta Cadwell Crews. He had been a resident of Kerrville for the past 4 years, coming from Colorado.
Mr. Crews served in the US Air Force.
For 32 years, he worked for Gates Rubber Company in Colorado manufacturing belts and hoses.
Mr. Crews married Emma D. Crespin on February 9, 1991 in Wheatridge, CO.
He and his wife, Emma, were fulltime RVers for 10 years, traveling from coast to coast and Canada. Of all his travels, he said that Alaska was his favorite because of the fishing. He was an avid fisherman.
Mr. Crews was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rites.
A great family man, he loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had a great sense of humor and could always make people laugh.
He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Kerrville.
Mr. Crews was predeceased by his parents, a daughter, Antoinette M. Sigala and a son, Leo Sigala.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Emma D. CrespinCrews of Kerrville his children, Phillip M. Sigala of Lakewood, CO and Joseph A. Sigala of Silver Plume, CO 3 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
ation will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville on Friday, February 24, 2012 from 68PM with a Masonic funeral ritual at 6PM.
A memorial service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, Kerrville, on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 11AM. Committal services will be private.
The family suggests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
