Inez Roberts

Kerrville Inez Chesser Roberts, 93, passed away Monday, April 12, 2010 at a local health care center.

She was born in Houston on November 10, 1916 to Hugh Lester and Alberta Snell Chesser and was the second oldest of four daughters. She married Preston Fletcher Roberts on September 1, 1935 and in 1940, moved to Angleton, TX. They retired to the Hill Country in 1976. He preceded her in death in 1996.

She was a strong, practical and loving mother with many wonderful talents, mainly those of gardening, sewing and cooking, but she will always be remembered for her love and care of her family and home.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her four daughters, Sharon Gregory and husband, Holman, of Kerrville, Charlotte Daniels, and husband Tom, of Hunt, Laurie Graham and husband Kenneth, of Kerrville, and Shelly Swinghamer and husband, Rick of Boerne eleven grandchildren, Stuart and Katie Gregory, Charlotte and Steven Sullivan, Tommy and Dianna Daniels, Abby Daniels, Pat Daniels, Brad and Stephanie Roberts, Neal Graham, Laura and Stephen Adair, Amanda and David Henderson, Andrew Swinghamer and Evan Swinghamer and thirteen greatgrandchildren.

A private memorial service will take place at a future date.

The family wishes to thank Plaza Nursing Home and Peterson Hospice for providing care in her final days. In lieu of floral arrangements, donations may be made in her name to Peterson Hospice of the charity of your choice.
