Kerrville Inez Colbath, 94, of Kerrville, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at a local health care facility.

Born on April 2, 1916 in Eldorado, TX, her family moved to Kerrville when she was very young and she spent most of her life in Kerrville.

Mrs. Colbath worked at the Kerrville State Hospital for 25 years in the business office.
She was very active in the Hunt Home Extension Club and held various officers positions. She was also part of the Kerr County Fair Committee, and a member of the Red Hat Club.

Mrs. Colbath was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ingram.

She loved to sew, do needlework and all crafts. She also loved to cook and entertain.

Her family was very important to her. She was also a loyal fan of the San Antonio Spurs. She celebrated her 90th birthday attending a Spurs game in San Antonio.

She was not only a great mother to her son, but also a great mother to her grandsons.

She is predeceased by her mother Sadie Wachter and her stepfather, Ren C. Wachter, her husband, Jack Colbath and her sister, Lola Faye Young, and her great granddaughter, Mandi Machen.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her son, William Machen and his wife, Meliss, of Kerrville her grandchildren, Alicia Lynn Napper of Kerrville, Jackie Charles Machen and his wife, Bettina, of Kerrville and William Ren Machen and his wife, Patty, of Georgetown, TX three great grandchildren, Sara, Rachel and Callie, her great great grandchildren, Natalie, Riley, Kennedy, Bryson, and many loving friends.

There will be no visitation.

A Celebration of her life will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home, main chapel on Monday, May 24, 2010 at 10:00AM. Committal services will follow at Nichols Cemetery, Kerrville.

Pall Bearers will be Alicia Napper, Jack Machen, Billy Machen, Luke Hutchens, Justin Shilander, Raymond Krauss, W.R. Machen and Robert Ake.

Honorary Pall Bearers will be Dr. Bob Dittmar and Tomas Villanueva.

In lieu of floral arrangements, the family asks that memorial donations in her name be sent to the American Heart Association.
