Howard Dunbar

Kerrville Howard R. Dunbar Jr., of Kerrville, passed from this life at his home on Tuesday, December 8, 2009.

Born in Cross Creek, PA on May 6, 1935, he was the son of Howard R. Dunbar Sr. and Ruth I. Dallmeyer Dunbar.

Mr. Dunbar married Evelyn McCauley on May 6, 2006 in Kerrville, TX.
He was an avid pool player, and loved working in the yard and in his work shop. He retired from Beneficial Financial after many years of service and was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church in Kerrville, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Katherine Dunbar and his son William Howard Dunbar.

Those left to honor and cherish Mr. Dunbars memory are his wife, Evelyn McCauley Dunbar of Kerrville, TX his daughters, Ruth and her husband Randy Finch of Corpus Christi, TX, Susan and her husband Les Asel of Katy, TX, Sally and her husband Dahl Howard Jr. of Early, TX sons James Dunbar of Plano, TX and Ted and his wife Detria Cain Jr. of Pampa, TX Sisters, Tena and husband Dick Lee of San Angelo, TX and Janie and husband Dennis Gray of Mesa, AZ Grandchildren, Sarissa and husband Michael Coffey, Amanda Finch, Paige Asel, Ashley and husband Jeremy Lemon, Chelsea Cain, Chad Howard, KShea Howard GreatGrandchildren, Mallory Lemon, Christian Lemon and Baily Lemon, along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors whom he cherished dearly.

ation will be held from 6 8 PM, Thursday, December 10, 2009 at Kerrville Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held in the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home at 10 AM, Friday, December 11, 2009 with Rev. Mel Hardin, Pastor of Sunrise Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Kerrville, TX.

Memorials may be made in honor of Mr. Dunbar to Peterson Hospice or to a charity of your choice.
