Ingram Hiram Overall, 96, of Ingram, passed from this life on Thursday morning, November 29, 2007 at a local health care facility.nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspBorn in Glendale, KY on July 7, 1911, he was the son of Wayne and Ethal Gatton Overall Sr. He had been a resident of Ingram for the past 13 years.Mr. Overall was a police officer for the Louisville, KY PD, being one of the first motorcycle officers of the city, starting the day of the Kentucky Derby in 1940. He went on to become a police officer in the Canal Zone and was Sergeant in charge of the Gamboa Station in the Canal Zone. He and his wife, DeLoris Schuver Overall were married on September 4, 1941 in Ancon, Canal Zone. In the early 1940s, they relocated to Hollywood, FL where Mr. Overall worked for the Barnett Bank, first as security, then retiring as vice president in 1967.In 1968, they moved to Dallas, TX to be near family and starting in 1983, he and his wife decided to go RVing full time, until in 1994.Mr. Overall was a 50 year Mason, joining the Sunset Lodge 915 F. A.M. He was also a member of the Abou Saad Shriner Lodge of the Canal Zone.Of their life together, he and his wife agreed that they had a wonderful marriage, and she added she was married to a great man.Family members include his wife of 59 years, DeLoris Schuver Overall of Ingram a sisterinlaw, Arlyce Brasher of Escondido, CA a niece, Dr. Shirley Reisinger of Austin and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, by his son, Hiram Denis Overall in 1972 his brother, Wayne Overall Jr and a nephew, Wayne Overall III.There will be no funeral services or visitation. Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
