Herman Towles

Kerrville Mr. Herman A. Towles passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, September 26, 2007. He was born in Dallas, Texas, on October 19, 1919, to Herman and Lillian Towles.Preceding him in death are his two sisters, Margaret Wilson and Mrs. L.B. Wilson. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II and spent a career in sales prior to his retirement. He was a resident of Edgewater Care center for the past four years. He was dearly loved by staff and residents alike. The St. Vincent DePaul Society will remember him as the white bearded gentleman who dropped in and played hymns on their organ several years ago. The organ was eventually donated to Edgewater Care Center and Herman continued to play for the enjoyment of the residents and staff alike.There will be a Memorial Service at Edgewater Care Center on Monday, October 8th at 3:00 PM in the main dining room. Private Interment occurred at Laurel Land Memorial Park, Dallas, TX.
