Herman M. Hensley, 87, of Kerrville, formerly of the lower Rio Grande Valley, entered into rest on October 25, 2005 at the Veterans Administration Hospital. Mr. Hensley was born November 4, 1917 in Mexia, Texas to Sewell and Mary Hensley. He was a pilot in WWII in the U.S. Air Force. He was a disabled veteran as well as a former P.O.W. He was very proud of his ability to serve his country. He married Marian in March of 1987 in Edinburg. Herman was a member of the Episcopal Church in Edinburg, Mercedes, and Kerrville. He was also a Farmer and a Realtor. As a realtor, he sold real estate in the Hill Country, and fell in love with Kerrville. He and Marian moved here in 1997. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf with his brothers, son, and grandsons. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, W.A., and Lawrence, and his beloved wife and mother of his children, Henrietta.He is survived by his wife, Marian daughter, Juliette son, John three grandchildren, Alan, Christine, and Sarah two stepdaughters, Dalenette, and Susan stepgrandchildren, Allen Dale, Deidra, Kelly, April, Kristin, Jacob, Scott, and Alex, three greatgrandchildren brothers, Bobby, Donnie, and Jim sisters, Mary Frances, Janelle, and Pinkie Virginia and a number of beloved nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be 5:00PM, Saturday, October 29, 2005 at St. Peters Episcopal Church in Kerrville. Memorials may be made to the VA Hospital Nursing Home 1 or the Alzheimers Association, 225 N.
