Hector Chavera

It is with deep sorrow that we announce Hector Antonio Chavera, 20, of Kerrville, Texas went to be with our Lord and Saviour on Friday, March 5, 2021.

Hector was born on April 18, 2000 in Fredericksburg, Texas and is survived by his loving parents, Hector Chavera Jr. and Antonia Reyna Moreno, siblings Jayson A. Espinoza, Analicia C. Chavera, George N. Chavera, Alexander I. Chavera and Bailey S. Chance, his grandparents Sylvia and Hector Chavera Sr., Edna Arreola, Florencio Sanchez and Jesusita Moreno, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and girlfriend Emonnie M. Woodie.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Luis Torres, uncle Louie Moreno, great-grandmothers Alice M. Arreola and Antonia R. Lopez, cousins Melissa A. Arreola and Stevie Moreno.

Anyone fortunate enough to know Hector, knows he had a big heart and a smile of gold. Hector loved so many and was loved by so many more. He had a gift and passion for helping others and was an avid skateboarder and fisherman. Whether you knew him by Little Hector, Hector, gloman or Hmula, he will be missed greatly by his family and friends. At this time, we must come together for Hector’s sake to honor his wishes of family unity and togetherness.

Please join us as we celebrate Hector’s life at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Hwy., Kerrville, Texas 78028. Visitation will be held Friday, March 12, 2021 from 5-7 pm, with funeral services to be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 starting at 2 pm. Reception to follow at the Dietert Center. Keeping with Hector’s spirit, his ashes will be shared with family and spread throughout the places he loved.
