Harvey Stone

KERRVILLE Harvey E. Stone, 85, died June 9, 2007 at his home in Colorado Springs. A resident of Kerrville for the past 19 years, he was born April 30, 1922, in Providence R.I. to parents George and Mildred Stone. He served in the Navy during WWII. He previously lived in Southern California for 32 years and was an experimental machinist for the aerospace industry, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Airstream Trailer Club, Texas Unit.He married Jeannette L. Stone on Jan. 14, 1943, in Chepachet, R.I. He is survived by three children, Gary Stone and wife Freddie of Colorado Springs, Beverly Stone of Colorado Springs and George Stone and wife Gail of Nemo, South Dakota, by three grandchildren, Shayne Stone and wife Elise of Lake Oswego, Oregon, Jason Gregory and wife Julie of Auburn, Alabama, and Karen Weller and husband Chris of Colorado Springs, and by four great grandchildren, Austin Weller, Tyler Weller, Tiegen Stone and Sianna Stone. Harvey was loved and respected by all of those around him.Funeral services for Harvey E. Stone will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 15, at the Kerrville Funeral Home with Chaplain Frankie Enloe officiating.
