Harvey Barkowsky

Kerrville Harvey L. Harv Barkowsky, 56 of Hunt, passed from this life at a local hospital on Thursday evening, April 3, 2008.Born in Lamesa, TX, the son of Franz and Anna Monthey Barkowsky, he had lived in Hunt for many years. He was a graduate of Texas Tech, where he received his Bachelors Degree and continued on to graduate from TCU with a Masters Degree in Fine Arts. Mr. Barkowsky was a or in the theater community for many years. He was a member of Alpha Psi Omega.Mr. Barkowsky was very active in politics, worked at the capitol in Austin and ran many campaigns. He had a great love for his family, his granddaughter, theater and arts. He also loved Glacier National Park where he spent many summers.Family members include his beloved wife, Liz Chick Barkowsky of Hunt his loving daughter, Annie Barkowsky of Austin, TX his cherished granddaughter, Emma Kelly of Austin, TX a brother, Edward Barkowsky of Snyder, TX, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Eugene Barkowsky.There is no visitation.A Celebration of his life will be held at Camp Waldemar in Hunt on Sunday, April 6, 2008 at 4PM.In lieu of floral arrangements, the family asks that monetary donations be made to Glacier Park Foundation, PO Box 15641, Minneapolis, MN, 55415
