Hartwell White

Levelland H.E. White, 93, of Levelland, passed from this life at a Lubbock care facility on Friday evening, April 17, 2009.

Born in Maud, TX on November 9, 1915, he was the son of Milton and Susan Fowler White.

After completing his education, Mr. White served in the US Army during WWII. On September 17, 1932, he married the love of his life, Flossie Mae Caswell in Walter, OK. They moved to Levelland in 1945 where he farmed until his retirement.In 1978, they moved to Sundown, living there until 2006.

During his retirement, he and Flossie enjoyed many years of traveling in their RV.

He was a member of the 5th Street Baptist Church in Levelland where he served as a Deacon for many years.

Mr. White was predeceased by his parents, his beloved wife, Flossie on August 7, 2006, and a daughter, Nelda McKee on May 3, 2001.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his son, Larry White and his wife, Patty, of Orlando, FL soninlaw, W.C. McKee of Sundown, TX 4 grandchildren, Mike McKee of Sundown, TX, Jerry McKee of Sundown, TX, Russell White of Crosby, TX and Toni McCumber of Orlando, FL 5 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren along with a host of many loving friends, neighbors and his church family.

Family visitation will be held on Monday evening from 68 PM, April 20, 2009 at the 5th Street Baptist Church, Levelland TX.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at the 5th Street Baptist Church, Levelland, TX officiated by Rev Merle Fulmer. Interment will follow at the City of Levelland Cemetery.

In lieu of floral arrangements, memorial remembrances may be forwarded to Vista Care, 1717 Norfolk Ave, Lubbock, TX 79416.
