Harry Wallace

LEVELLAND, TX - Jim Wallace of Levelland, TX passed away peacefully on January 7, 2016 at a local care center. He was born in Caddo, TX to H X and Katreen Wallace on January 28, 1926.

Jim was raised in Ranger, TX where he attended Ranger High School and Ranger College. During World War II, he served in the Army Air Corp as a gunner and instructor. Upon completing his service to our country, he returned to college and graduated from Texas Tech University. While at Tech he met the love of his life, and married Margaret Israel of Levelland in 1951.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Margaret Wallace of Levelland; daughter, Teresa and husband W H "Bubba" Rowell, their daughter, Rossianna of Big Springs, TX and her daughter and son; son, Cody and wife Sarah of Garland, TX and their son; son, Bill and wife Tanna of Levelland, their daughter, Whitney and husband Levi Box and their 3 children all of Levelland, TX; one sister, Mary Ann Cowan of Ft. Worth, TX, and her son Matt and his wife Julie and their 2 girls; along with a host of many friends and neighbors who will greatly miss him.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, January 9, 2016 in the Sanctuary of the First Christian Church, 311 Clubview Drive, Levelland, TX. Interment will follow at Whitharrel Cemetery.
