Kerrville Harold Edward Mueller, 79, of Kerrville, passed away Tuesday morning, May 11, 2010 at a local health care facility.
Born in Jonesville, SC on June 29, 1930, he was the son of J.P. Mullinex and Parniece Carter Mullinex.
Harold served in the US Navy for 10 years and was a Korean War Veteran. He served on the USS Antietan and USS Kearsarge.
After serving his country, he married Lucille Carley on June 4, 1964 in Canyon City, TX, and this union would last over 45 years.
He worked for the Starkey Construction, Starkey Enterprise and the Six S Family Limited Partnership for many years.
Harold was the cofounder of KERA, to assist the elderly in nursing homes in the Kerr County area.
He was predeceased by his father, J.P. Mullinex, his adopted father, Emil Mueller, Sr. his mother, Parniece Carter Mullinex Mueller, half sister, Shirley Ann and 8 stepbrothers.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory are wife, Lucille Carley Mueller of Kerrville his two half brothers, Emil Mueller, Jr. of New Braunfels and Robert Mueller of Marion his three godchildren, which he and Lucille thought of as their own, Kacey Werthein of Bridgeport, WV, Katrina Willy of Tuscan, AZ and Kerry Werthein of Waterford, CT and many nieces and nephews.
ation will be at Kerrville Funeral Home on Thursday, May 13, 2010 from 68PM.
A service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 10AM. Committal services will follow at Glen Rest Cemetery, Kerrville.
