Hanna Marie Dorthea Dunk Mickan Harmon, at the age of 93, on August 30, 2006, entered the journey of peace and joy to everlasting glory with Jesus Christ her Savior. She was born on March 20, 1913. Here parents were Marie and Henry Dunk, Sr. of Warda, Texas. As an infant she was baptized at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, also the church of her confirmation. In 1933, she married Daniel Mickan of Walburg, Texas where they made their home. They were blessed with 4 children. Daniel died on February 6, 1966. In 1969, she married Darell Boyd Harmon of Austin, Texas where she continued to live after his death in 1975. Hanna was blessed to live two lives in one lifetime. Her life as a young girl and as Daniels wife was spent in the country as his partner in his rural garageservice station business, while her life with Darell was spent in the city or on travels throughout the world.She is survived by sons, Raymond and his wife Ethel of Walburg, Texas, and Kenneth and wife Chrystal daughters, Janice Moerbe of Bastrop, Texas and Kathy MacDonald and husband Granger of Kerrville, Texas. Surviving stepchildren include Darell Harmon, Jr., Helen Chamberlain, Lois Anderson, Florence Voegelin and their families.Hannas grandchildren are Pam and Mike Hughes, Tim and Jen Mickan, Cindy and George Belk, Danny and Penny Mickan, Michael and Amy Mickan, Keith and Angel Moerbe, Kim and Mike Coon, Scott Mickan, Christine and Owen Parker, Sarah Wistner and Doug Wistner. Hanna had 12 greatgrandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Ben Dunk of Jarrell, Texas.Graveside services will be held at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Walburg, Texas at 10:00 a.m, with a memorial service to follow at 10:45 at Zion Lutheran Church on Saturday, September 2, 2006. In lieu of flowers a contribution may be made to Zion Lutheran Church Music Fund, 6001 FM 1105, Georgetown, TX 78626 or a favorite charity of your choice. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Dr. James Young Peterson Hospice especially, Lisa and Grete, and Parsons House staff especially, Diane, Kathleen and Lendon.
