The entire family wishes to express deepest appreciation to the caregivers who lovingly helped make her life better and to the many friends who called or came to visit with gifts of themselves and their love, all of which made Gladyss life brighter. We suspect you received joy and love in return. Gladyss great joy in life was her family and her many friends, to whom she brought much happiness. She loved her church, her home, and her community and gave of herself to all of them. Gladys was both fun loving and dignified and could find a bright side to almost any situation. Her many talents brought pleasure to many people. She served as church organist at Hunt United Methodist Church for over 25 years and contributed to the church in other creative ways. She loved both to prepare and enjoy great food. Her versatile needlework skills produced heirloom quality linens and other items, most of which were loving gifts, and many of which received the highest honors in competition at the State Fair of Texas. When she and a friend introduced their Christmas items to the public through Neiman Marcus, they were so overwhelmed with orders, they decided it wasnt fun anymore, so she thereafter reserved the products of her talents for family and friends. Included in her creations were greeting cards made with pressed wildflowers gathered in the Hill Country and other parts of Texas another gift to be sent or given with love. With all this activity, Gladys still found time to be the San Antonio Spurs most avid fan. Please join the family during visitation at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway on Thursday, April 19, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
