Gisela Chambers

Kerrville Gisela V. Chambers, 76, of Kerrville, TX passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at Alpine Nursing Home in Kerrville, TX. She was born in Starnberg, Germany on September 4, 1930 to Viktor and Maria Zimmermann, being of the first generation of the family to come to the United States almost 50 years ago. After marrying her husband, U.S. Marine Sgt. Samuel P. Chambers, deceased since June 4, 1998, she moved to the United States, where she primarily resided in Kerrville, TX. She spent her life helping those in need and was dedicated to the protection and rehabilitation of animals. She is lovingly survived by her 4 children: Robert Chambers of Kerrville, TX, Denise Chambers, Cassy Grier, and Chad Chambers, all of Kerrville, TX grandchildren, Jody Geistweidt and husband Kevin, James Moore, Robyn Wilkinson and husband Tom, Brooke Grier, Tory Chambers, Blake Chambers, Chance Chambers, and Dakota Grier greatgrandchildren, Holt Geistweidt and Wyatt Wilkinson her sister, Angelika Geissler two nieces and a nephew along their families in Germany. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at 10 AM in the Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Ligon officiating. In lieu of floral tributes, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place.
