Gertrude Degner

Kerrville Mrs. Gertrude E. Degner, 99, of Kerrville passed from this life at a Kerrville health care center on Tuesday, January 31, 2012.
Born in Owatonna, MN on June 5, 1912, she was the daughter of John A. and Libby Soukup Wavrin. She had been a resident of Kerrville since 1977, but with her husband, they lived in many cities in the US and around the world..
She attended a business college and was a retiree of the Federal Government.
Mrs. Degner married Forest Degner, who predeceased her.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, the AARP, Eastern Star 24, Ladies Oriental Shrine of N.A. and was a faithful member of the Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Degner is also predeceased by her parents, and a sister, Dolores Peterson.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her brother, Melvin Wavrin of Carpentersville, IL 2 nephews, Allen Bryant and Conrad Peterson her caregivers and friends, Charles quotEddiequot and Mary Doyle and a host of friends.

According to her wished, services will be private.
