Kerrville-Gerald Dee "Jerry "Taylor", 75, of Ingram, Texas passed from this life on Friday June 9, 2017 surrounded by family. Jerry was born May 19, 1942 in Houston, Texas to Albert Dee Taylor and Lena Wallace Taylor. He was active in Boy Scouts, eventually becoming an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Bellaire High School.
Jerry worked in the Houston area and retired from the Bee-Line Delivery Service in 1999. After retiring, he and his wife Carol, moved to Ingram. Jerry was known by family and friends as being the BBQ King for his delicious smoked hams, briskets and chickens. He frequently donated his time for fundraisers where pit cooking was required. Jerry was also a member of the Host Lions Club and the West Kerr County Chamber of Commerce.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Albert D. and Lena Taylor, an infant daughter; Lindy Lee Taylor and his wife of 32 Years, Carol Allbritton Taylor.
Those who are left to cherish his memories are his wife Suzy Taylor, son; Billy Taylor, daughter; Teresa Lynn Taylor, stepson; Lt Col Rick Allbritton wife Janine, their children; Joshua and Grace, Stepson; Harris County Constable Precincts Assistant Chief Terry Allbritton and wife Camilla, their children; Travis, Conner, Alex and Tessa, sister, Sharon Wells, brother. Tom Taylor, wife Karen, nephews; Michael Schneider, Glenn Schneider, Austin Taylor, Glenn Taylor and niece; Marianne Schneider Pickell.
Friends and family will gather for a Celebration of Life Luncheon 1 PM Saturday June 17, 2017 at Windmill Ridge Activity Center 244 Painted Rock Ingram Texas.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in Jerry's memory to any Wells Fargo Bank in the name of Susan Taylor to offset the funeral expenses
