Kerrville, TX Gerald E. Leonard, Jr., 80, passed from this life at a local hospital on Thursday afternoon, January 23, 2008.Born in Worcester, MA on April 8, 1927, he was the only child to Gerald E and Rose Cotton Leonard, Sr. He served in the US Navy and due to injuries, was honorably discharged in 1946.When he returned home, Mr. Leonard attended the Culinary Institute and graduated in the institutes first class. Mr. Leonard worked for American Airlines for many years, and was supervisor of the food service department.In his retirement years, he worked at the Kerrville State Hospital and was a silversmith, making jewelry.Mr. Leonard was a very giving man.Survivors include his wife, Winnie Jean Adams Leonard of Kerrville 2 sons, 2 stepsons and many friends.ation will be at Kerrville Funeral Home on Sunday evening, January 27, 2008 from 5PM7PM.Funeral services will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home on Monday afternoon, January 28, 2008 at 2:00PM. Interment will be held on Tuesday afternoon, January 29, 2008 at 2:15 PM at Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, TX.
