Kerrville ndashGeorge R. Bing Miller, 88, of Kerrville, passed from this life at his residence on Sunday morning, March 22, 2009.Born in Mariette, PA on January 16, 1921, he was the son of George and Frances Miller.nbsp In 1942, Bing graduated from Franklin and Marshall College.He worked for Atlas Powder Co, where he met his wife, Evelyn Hoting, of Brenham, and they were married in 1942 in St. Charles MO.Bing was in the US Navy during WW II, and served on a destroyer.nbsp Upon his discharge, he went to work for Armstrong Cork Co. in Lancaster, PA.nbsp In 1953, he assumed a position with National Container Corp in Jacksonville, FL.nbsp Later, the company was bought out by Owens Illinois and in the ensuing years, he worked in Valdosta, GA and Orange, TX in their paper mills.He retired in 1979 and has lived in the Kerrville area of TX since that time.He is predeceased by his loving wife, and his parents.At Bingrsquos request, there will be no services.nbsp He will be inurned in Brenham, which was his wifersquos home town.nbspnbsp
