George Marcy

Kerrville George R. Marcy, 76, of Kerrville, passed from this life at his home surrounded by his family on Monday, February 20, 2012.

Born in Newton, MA on November 11, 1935, he was the son of George and Mary Arbuckle Marcy.

He served in the US Army.

Mr. Marcy worked in the banking industry for many years, and when he moved to Kerrville, became a real estate agent.

On October 8, 1955, he married Bonnie Carroll, a union that would span 56 years.

He was an avid golfer, spending many hours enjoying the game.

A man of great integrity, he taught these qualities to his children.

Mr. Marcy was predeceased by his parents and a son, Dwayne Marcy.

Those left to honor and cherish his life are his beloved wife, Bonnie Carroll Marcy his children, David Marcy and his wife, Lisa, Deborah Boyd and her husband Tom and Dianna Roberts and her husband, Bill his grandchildren, Nichole, Justin, Brandon, Colleen, Jessica, Emma and Jennifer his great grandchildren, Quinleigh, Jonathan, Rianna, Jessica and Skylar and his faithful sidekick, Sammy.

According to his wishes, services will be private.

The family suggests that donations be made to the Odyssey Hospice of Kerrville.
