Gene Metzler

UVALDE Gene A. Metzler passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013, at the Armistad Nursing Home in Uvalde, Texas. She was 98.

Mrs. Metzler she was known as Neenie to her family and friends was born on August 1, 1914 in Oklahoma City, OK. She relocated to Houston in 1934 when she married A. F. Doc Metzler Jr. In 2005 she moved to the Hill Country to be near her family who were at her bedside when she passed.

Mrs. Metzler is survived by three daughters, Shari and husband Dan Bohlmann of Palm Springs, CA Vicki and husband David of Grand Cayman Island and Linda and husband Pat Power of Leakey, TX.
She is also survived by six grandchildren: Mark Hatchett, Kelly Kimbler, Robert Hatchett IV, Dawn Andre, Sean K. Butler, and Bryan K. Butler, and, in addition, nine great grandchildren and her beloved dog Buddy.

A celebration of her life among family and friends will be held at a later date.
